Our Mission
The mission of the Bridgeport Free Clinic is to provide medical care for the uninsured community of Bridgeport, where 35% of the population is Asian and, of the 22% uninsured in the community area, the largest proportion (28%) is of Asian descent.
Free Medical Care
Our Location: 3001 S Lowe Ave, Chicago, IL 60616
We are open on certain Monday evenings. Our medical student and physician volunteers provide free health care at no cost. We also have interpreters who volunteer to translate Mandarin and Cantonese.
Our clinic focus on screening and urgent care for conditions that affect patients more commonly, including hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, Hepatitis B, liver disease, and smoking.
Services
Free Screening and Interpreting Services
We offer check up appointments and screening services for blood pressure, blood sugar/diabetes, hepatitis B, strep throat, pregnancy and STI testing.
We are unable to provide pediatric care except during scheduled pediatric clinics (see schedule above). Please refer to the Washington Park Children's Free Clinic to make an appointment for your child.
We provide Mandarin and Cantonese interpreters to make health care more accessible to the Asian population in Bridgeport.
Our clinic offers free screens and referral services, regardless of insurance or immigration status.
Education and Referrals
Emphasis on Longitudinal Care and Preventive Health
We aim to educate our patients and empower them to make healthy lifestyle decisions, as well as help our patients into the primary care system for longitudinal care.
The clinic helps enroll patients in insurance plans, and refers patients to nearby Federally Qualified Health Centers for comprehensive primary care services.

我们诊所帮助病人报名参加保险，并且将病人转诊到附近的联邦批准的健康中心获取全面的基础医疗服务。
